A flood alert has been issued for parts of Northamptonshire
The Met Office has issued a flood alert for parts of Northamptonshire as Storm Babet hits the UK. The alert issued on Friday morning covers Harpers Brook between Great Oakley and Islip, and Willow Brook between Corby and Fotheringhay.
Storm Babet is battering the UK with a rare red weather warning in place until noon in North East Scotland. Exceptional rainfall is expected and hundreds of people were told to evacuate in Angus on Thursday .
