An updated list of flood alerts across Nottinghamshire has been published by the Environment Agency. River levels have risen following the heavy rain over the weekend, with two separate weather warnings issued on Monday .
According to the Gov. UK flood warning map, areas that could be impacted by flooding include Burton Joyce, Lowdham and Caythorpe, as well as Wilford and Long Eaton. The alerts state that river levels will continue to rise as more heavy rain and thunderstorms pass through the area.It states: "Consequently, the risk of flooding remains.
Light rain will continue in Nottingham until 11am, after which it will become heavy rain until 7pm, forecasters say. The Met Office says: "An area of heavy rain is expected to affect central and southern England during Monday, becoming slow-moving somewhere across the warning area for several hours. It will then weaken and move away eastwards later Monday evening and overnight.
