The Environment Agency has issued warnings for the county areas where 'flooding is expected'
More rain is forecast for Nottinghamshire over the next two days, as flood warnings and alerts remain in place today . Flooding is expected at Carlton on Trent, Collingham, and Girton, with six Environment Agency flood alerts also in place in the county.
As a result, travel has been disrupted, with some roads closed. This includes the A617 in Newark. The road has been closed in both directions between the A46 Cattlemarket Roundabout at Newark to the Fox Inn in Kelham due to flooding since yesterday morning . Today will bring a maximum temperature of 10C, with rain arriving in Nottingham around midday and peaking at 1pm, when the chance of rain will go up to 95 per cent, according to the latest forecast from the Met Office.Rainfall is expected to continue until around 9pm, with an 80 per cent chance of heavy rain between 6pm and 8pm. Some rainy spells are also expected overnight.
