The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for Dallas County on Wednesday after storms dumped rain on the area.

The heavy rainfall was impacting on traffic, too, with standing water in some areas. As of 9:10 a.m. the exit ramp on Interstate 45 at Simpson Stuart Road in Dallas was closed due to high water, according Texas Department of Transportation.around 5 a.m. along U.S. 75 and Interstate 345 near Live Oak Street when the rain was downpouring. The tractor-trailer was hanging off an overpass, causing delays. The driver was taken to a hospital.
The DART trains were experiencing delays Wednesday as well, with the agency citing a weather-related signal problem near Fair Park. Some of the lights continuously flashed and the crossing signals remained down blocking traffic.Earlier in the week, the weather service warned there would be an increased threat of flooding throughout the region in the event of additional rainfall, because of the repeated storms over the last week saturating soils and filling reservoirs.
