Severe flooding has been reported across England and Wales following Storm Bert, prompting hundreds of flood warnings. The storm caused five deaths in south Wales and widespread wind damage. Flood warnings with 'danger to life' notices are in place near the River Nene and the River Avon, while alerts for potential flooding extend to numerous areas, including Burton Trent, Exmoor, Bristol, and North Cornwall.
