Both Tampa Bay and Orlando's transportation boards will have to decide as the public pushes the state to increase service to Interstate 4.
Florida's high-speed rail is facing new pressure as the state plans to vote on a resolution to expedite the Brightline rail. Both Tampa Bay and Orlando's transportation boards will have to decide as the public pushes the state to increase service to Interstate 4.The Sun Coast Transportation Planning Alliance and Central Florida MPO Alliance have proposed the resolution to link Tampa Bay and Orlando as sorely needed.
'More people moving to the state has brought in a wider, wealthier tax base, but also substantially more traffic, especially in central and southern Florida. Crowded highways between the state's biggest cities certainly aren't good for business, and it's led many to call for a quicker path to a high-speed rail being built.'Under the new resolution, a high-speed Brightline rail service would link Tampa Bay to the Orlando metro area.
