Floyd Mayweather has issued a statement on social media amid claims he was 'attacked by a mob' while shopping in London.
A video emerged of Mayweather seemingly in distress as he was escorted through the street by security amid reports he was attacked by a mob while shopping in London.People on the street could be heard taunting and shouting at the former boxing superstar as his bodyguards tried to assist him into a blacked-out vehicle.But Mayweather has dismissed speculation that he was 'punched' or 'touched' in any way.
On Instagram, he wrote: "Let me set the record straight...there's no truth to the rumours going around. I wasn't punched or touched in any way. What you're seeing is just my security doing their job to keep things under control."I was in the UK for a quick 48-hour stop to do some shopping, and unfortunately, people let jealously and negatively fuel false stories.
