At a Slovakian airport, Klein Vision's flying car made history by completing the maiden flight with a passenger on board.Klein Vision achieved this milestone with its AirCar, which carried French electronic musician Jean-Michel Jarre as a passenger. The test was held on an airport runway in Slovakia.
The AirCar comprises multiple functional units designed to transition between ground and air travel. Its aerodynamic fuselage not only accommodates passengers comfortably but also enhances lift performance during flight. When in automobile mode, the vehicle uses an elevator pitch and a spoiler to create downforce.
According to the firm, the lift body idea includes future developments for the interior and the range of models—three and four seats, dual engines, and an amphibious version.During its prototype phase, the AirCar is outfitted with a 160 HP BMW engine featuring a fixed propeller and a ballistic parachute for added safety measures.
AirCar’s Prototype has soared to altitudes of up to 8200 ft and achieved a peak cruising velocity of 118 mph .
