The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for parts of Lancashire on Monday morning due to widespread fog, potentially causing delays to journeys.
The Met Office has warned of delays to journeys in Lancashire on Monday as the first widespread fog of Autumn rolls in.
Drivers and bus passengers are being warned to expect some travel disruption as a result, with tricky driving conditions possible. There is also a chance of delays and cancellations to flights, the Met Office warns. It covers southern areas of Lancashire, including Preston, Chorley, Leyland, West Lancs and Darwen. The warning also extends into Great Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire and the Welsh border.
"Give yourself the best chance of avoiding delays by checking road conditions if driving, leaving extra journey time, or amending plans if necessary. Make sure you know how to switch on your fog lights, and check they are working before setting off on your journey.
