Exciting news!
The best food and drink producers in the East Midlands and beyond will be appearing at Ashfield Food and Drink Festival. Back for a third year in High Street, Hucknall, it will take place on Sunday August 20.
An estimated 4,000 food lovers are expected to attend. This year's programme includes a live cookery demonstration of vegetarian food by a healthy eating chef. A feast of mouth-watering delights include Istanbul Grill's Turkish street food, Jamaican jerk chicken from Back-a-Yard Cuisine and authentic German bratwurst and vegan brockwurst from the Sizzling Kitchen. Providing the sweet treats are Castle-dining, who specialise in gluten free brownies, cakes and cheesecakes and the Sinfully Sweet Pastry Company with Swiss meringue buttercream cake pots, patisserie style tarts, frangipanes, macarons, and oat bars.
Organisers Ashfield District Council is still looking for new traders and caters for this year's event. Councillor John Wilmott, for Hucknall North, said “Ashfield Food and Drink Festival has grown to be one of our residents’ firm favourite events. We are extremely glad to bring this event back to Hucknall for the third year as part of our Splendid Summer of events."
