West Didsbury and Chorlton AFC is set to face its third neighbour dispute in three years over plans to keep a 'tea bar' and metal storage container at their football ground. Residents have raised concerns about noise, odours, and alcohol sales until 11pm, but planning officers have recommended approval.
A non-league football club and neighbours are set to play out their third row in three years after an argument about a shed.
Residents say they’re worried about ‘the use of the outbuilding until 11pm to serve food and drinks’, according to council documents summarising public objections. Despite the fears, the planning officers have recommended councillors approve the plan to keep the structures in place until 2030. "The quality of life in this area is just going to plummet," local Jonathan Green said. "This can sound like it's just a whole lot of NIMBYs who live in a nice area, but it really isn't that. This has had a real impact on people's mental health."
