Mourners are invited to wear sky blue for Coventry City fan Keaton Slater.
The funeral of a 12-year-old boy killed in a hit-and-run crash has taken place at Coventry Cathedral, with mourners wearing sky blue in recognition of his love for Coventry City FC.The funeral has been described as a "beautiful service for a beautiful soul".
In Keaton's memory, there will also be a minute's applause before Tuesday evening's Coventry City match against Everton.Canon for Arts and Reconciliation, Mary Gregory, said the message of the service was solidarity and standing with Keaton's family in their "terrible grief". She highlighted the importance of the family knowing "they are not alone, that there is a community around them".
She added: "I really want them to go from here knowing that there are people around them, standing with them, and that God is with them."People described the funeral as a "beautiful service for a beautiful soul" on the Keaton Slater Facebook community group.
