She played on the school’s soccer team, but decided to put on the pads when it became clear the gridiron squad needed a kicker for her senior year.In a game that featured big plays all over the place, that road nearly ended with Kolbusz as the goat, as a missed extra point seemed all but to doom Mount Olive.The 10-1 Marauders advance to take on neighboring Roxbury, a 15-12 winner over Irvington, at Roxbury on Friday night.
Trailing 28-27 with no timeouts and 1:40 to go, Mount Olive appeared left for dead until Lincoln Youtz – who had a terrific all-around game – blocked a punt to flip the field and set Mount Olive up at the Sayreville 38.
