Pablo Fornals might be an international football, earning big money in the Premier League and La Liga, but that doesn’t stop him being a tourist like anyone else. The former West Ham star posted pictures on his Instagram this summer from the Colosseum in Rome. Fornals was visiting Italy with his wife Lara. He mingled with ordinary tourists to take their pictures and also went to see the Trevi Fountain and Vatican, as millions do every year.
“I am just trying to do things I cannot do during the season,” he told BBC Sport. “To be honest, I have been to most of the world but I didn’t see anything. “Before I am a footballer, I am a normal guy so when you have this free time and holidays the thing I want to do is learn something, learn about our history. 'Rome was really good. I had a great time with my wife.” And being a super-fit professional athlete didn’t prevent Fornals enjoying that other well known aspect of Italian culture.
