A spokesperson for Scottish Women’s Football said: “SWF understands police were called to investigate alleged violent conduct at a match in the SWFL East on Sunday. “Scottish Women’s Football is proud of the positive role our clubs play in providing powerful role models and encouraging young women into the sport, and therefore there must be a zero-tolerance approach to any behaviours from spectators, coaches or players who tarnish that reputation women have worked so hard to foster over the last 50 years.”
