Ford receives approval to sell Bronco for international markets. Ford FordBronco Bronco CarGuidePH
Not to worry, another retro-styled, body-on-frame SUV may soon be on the way locally: the Ford Bronco., Ford has finally received the go-signal to sell it in two trims: the Bronco Outer Banks and the Bronco Badlands. In both variants, it’s powered by a 2.7-liter turbocharged V6—an engine that already received a regulatory approval in the Philippines. This engine produces 335 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and 563 Nm at 3,100 rpm. The transmission is a 10-speed automatic.
The Bronco Badlands also has Bilstein dampers. With position-sensitive external reservoirs, it provides additional cooling under severe conditions, while the damping force automatically increases at the extremes of suspension travel. Compared to its North American counterpart, the export version of the Bronco features a revised front profile due to different pedestrian safety rules. Still, it will carry its impactful design down to its short overhangs and bold, functional lines. The full-width grille and circular headlights hark back to its roots, but remain fully functional giving the off-roader a clear sight of any trail ahead.
