The advice against global travel is the latest stringent measure taken by the government to try to stem the rapidly growing coronavirus outbreak.supports HTML5 video He added: ‘UK travellers abroad now face widespread international border restrictions and lockdowns in various countries.’Before Mr Raab’s statement, MPs raised cases of constituents stuck in different parts of the world, including in Vietnam and the Philippines, due to coronavirus-linked travel restrictions.
He said he has requested ‘British nationals are moved urgently into hygienic conditions’, adding: ‘We’re doing our best to improve the treatment for those individuals.’The government will issue detailed advice on maintaining the flow of goods to the UK, while protecting staff working on shipping routes, Mr Raab said.
