Holidaymakers have been warned that road discipline in one particular country is 'very poor'

The Foreign Office has issued a new warning for holidaymakers travelling to a popular holiday destination over road fears.

Those involved in any kind of road accident in Qatar must also stay in their vehicle until police arrive as it is illegal to leave the scene of an accident. The only exception to this is if no one was injured in the accident, in which case you can move the vehicle to a safer location. "It’s illegal to leave the scene of the accident, but if no one has been injured and it’s safe to do so, you can move your vehicle to a safer place. You’ll need to get a police report for insurance purposes.Brits have also been told to be cautious of the vehicle they're using in the desert, with advice highlighting the need for a "properly-equipped 4x4 vehicle".
