More than 200 tremors have been detected near the island of Santorini
British tourists heading to a clutch of popular Greek islands have been warned following an 'increase seismic activity' in the area.
Greece's Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has chaired an emergency meeting in Athens, as Santorini authorities prepared for a potential evacuation. Tents have reportedly been set up in an outdoor stadium. The Foreign Office bulletin issued today said: "The Greek Ministry of Civil Protection has issued advice for Santorini , Anafi, Ios and Amorgos, following increased seismic activity in the area.
