The Reds have given jobs to a number of former Nottingham Forest players
Nottingham Forest have announced the return of former fan favourites back to the City Ground in a new project aimed to improve the first-team environment.
Head of Football Development & Talent Management, Craig Mulholland said: “We strongly believe that successful talent systems contain a mix of former players, educators, professional coaches and multi-discipline staff with extensive experience of talent development. Andy Reid notched up nearly 300 appearances for the club and he takes on the role of Transition Coach and Scout, in both a scouting and coaching capacity.
Indeed, there is plenty of cause for optimism among Reds fans. Progress is the watchword around the City Ground at the moment, and the hope is that supporters won’t be chewing their fingernails or calculating final-day survival permutations come May. Nevertheless, do not underestimate just how valuable having uninterrupted time with his players can be for Nuno. He has described pre-season as the “most important” period of the year and felt he missed out by being appointed Trentside in the middle of the last campaign.
