A child who was sitting nearby later said he didn't want to go to football games any more
A Nottingham Forest fan has been banned from football matches after racially abusing Heung Min Son and Tottenham Hotspur fans during a game at the City Ground. The man, from Bestwood , was identified after police traced the holder of the ticket for the seat he sat in at every game.
His behaviour was reported to match stewards and to the club by supporters sitting near him. He was later charged with two counts of racially aggravated disorderly conduct. Marianne Connally, District Crown Prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service East Midlands, said: “His abhorrent behaviour has no place in football. He turned up to the game drunk and for reasons best known to him decided to shout racist abuse at opposition fans and a player for a sustained period.
