'There's no need for a flight to Iceland, come off the M6 at Junction 31'
Sitting at the top of many-a-bucket list is a trip to frozen Iceland or Scandinavia to experience the majestic Northern Lights.
But what if we told you you don't even need to step foot out of Lancashire to witness our county's very own Northern Light-rivalling display? According to the folk at Brockholes Nature Reserve in Preston, you don't need to shell out on a flight to Iceland. The local beauty spot posted a fascinating video showing off a "natural phenomenon" in the dusk skies above the wildlife haven. They accompanied the social media footage of the spectacle, with a cheeky caption.
The video, which was shot by Ruth Phillips, shows a huge flock of birds flying and swooping at speed in circles and patterns above the water and reeds as darkness started to set in. The enchanting sight is really quite mesmerising, and shows the beauty in wildlife, available for you to witness yourself at the 250-acre reserve.
