“We looked at the property and found out that it had a castle and had some other tiny buildings on it, and I fell in love with it,” he said. Meanwhile, a people-powered monorail pushed guests around the property, which played host to other popular storybook settings, such as the boot-shaped home of “the old woman who lived in a shoe”.The creators and original owners of Fantasy Glades, George and Rose Whitaker with their children.Credit:Crowe said the mammoth restoration of the estate had been his “commitment for the last eight years”, and he is satisfied that he has achieved his goal of returning the property to its former glory.
