Fair announcing his transfer destination comes just eight days after he entered the transfer portal on April 20.
Former Auburn wide receiver Jay Fair is heading west to USC, he announced in a social media post Sunday afternoon.During the 2023 season, Fair hauled in 31 receptions for 324 yards and a pair of touchdowns, making him the Tigers’ third-leading pass catcher last fall.
Meanwhile, many of the new faces in Auburn’s wide receiver room turned heads as guys like freshman Cam Coleman, Georgia State transfer Robert Lewis and Cal transfer Sam Jackson V all tallied multiple catches during the spring game. “We’ve got a couple spots left on our roster,” Freeze said. “If you’re going to fill it, let’s fill it with D-line and receivers. I think that’s where we need to add some more depth.”
