Bury's planning committee has approved plans
Work to convert Bury’s former police station site into two large care homes is to start before the end of the year. The site on Irwell Street, next to the Castle Leisure centre, has been vacant and has become overgrown since demolition of the multi-storey police station in 2018.
"They also have a number of services that are registered to support adults living with severe or profound and multiple learning disabilities or autism spectrum disorder. "Exemplar support adults of all ages. Most are of working age, only a third are over the age of 65."
