The co-signatory to the agreement says no party nor the UK Government should be able to collapse government in Northern Ireland

The former Irish PM cautioned against suggestions that the DUP may wait until after the local elections in Northern Ireland in late May before making a firm decision on the resumption of Stormont. “Always to be finding the excuse not to do something and the time just drifts on, that’s what worries me. In the meantime, the people of Northern Ireland need a functioning executive, they need their own Assembly up and running. I think just drifting things out is a bad policy, quite frankly.”
