After missing out on the 2020 Tokyo Olympics by the narrowest of margins, former Longhorn Carson Foster had to change the way he approached swimming.

The path from that pool in Nebraska to the Paris Games , where the former Longhorn earned two medals and almost claimed a third last week, required Foster to overcome not only the best American swimmers, but his own inner demons. “The pressure of needing to be perfect,” Foster told Olympics.com this February,” backfired.
