The rising costs of redeveloping the GAA Stadium to the level required to host games, with some suggesting the build cost would now be £400m, was one of the stumbling blocks for the project with others questioning what the legacy would be for football in the province. Speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Premier League odds, Lennon said: "I'm really disappointed that Northern Ireland won’t be hosting a game at Euro 2028. Really disappointed that the funds haven’t been made available.
