An ex-police officer from Leeds bombarded a woman with unwanted calls and messages, a court heard.
Joe Daniel, who was suspended from duty last year, continued to contact his former partner despite having been arrested and told not to as part of his bail conditions. The 34-year-old pleaded guilty to stalking and was sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court on Wednesday . The case followed an investigation by North Yorkshire Police into Daniel's calls and messages to the woman he was previously in a relationship with.

This week, Daniel was fined £800 and issued with a restraining order. He must also pay a victim surcharge and prosecution costs totalling £405.
