Former NSW premier Dominic Perrottet has come forward and offered to front the COVID-19 inquiry in the midst of heavy criticism over state and territory leaders’ lack of involvement.
The inquiry, which was announced on Thursday, is set to exclude “actions taken unilaterally by state and territory governments” in a revelation that has been slammed for going against the royal commission many Australians expected.

When the Omicron variant emerged shortly after the state re-opened, Perrottet maintained his stance and stood firm as he refused to close the state down again.
