Levine served as Pennsylvania’s physician general and as state Secretary of the Department of Health, before being nominated by President Biden to her current role. Rutgers alumnus Jelani Cobb, dean of the Columbia Journalism School, is receiving an honorary doctor of letters degree. Rutgers Board of Governors Chair William Best, senior vice president and northeast market manager at PNC, is receiving an honorary doctor of laws degree, the university said.
