Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan was wounded when his convoy was shot at in the country’s east on Thursday of Pakistan Imran Khan has been shot and wounded in an “assassination attempt” during a protest rally – and is said to have accused current prime minister Shehbaz Sharif of responsibility for the attack.
“A man opened fire with an automatic weapon. Several people are wounded. Imran Khan is also injured,” PTI secretary-general Asad Umar told Reuters. “Imran Khan called us and told us to convey this message to the nation on his behalf….He said that he believes three people were involved in the attack,” said the PTI official in a video address posted online.
