The old police station has been vacant for many years
The vacant building could soon be replaced by 14 new affordable homes, if plans are approved. According to north west-based housing association Onward Homes, the homes will all be high-quality, affordable, and have three bedrooms.

This process aims to reduce the amount of construction traffic and waste, as well as shortening build times.
Stephen Heverin, growth and regeneration director at Onward Homes, said: “We are committed to improving the quality and choice of affordable housing across our communities, while minimising our impact on the local environment.
