Jacksonville Jaguars sign Rasheem Green to a one-year deal.

On a day when former Seattle Seahawks running back Rashaad Penny retired, his former teammate from the same draft class has found his next team. Ex-Seahawks defensive end, Rasheem Green, signed a one-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Green, a third-round pick in the 2018 draft, hasn’t been with Seattle since the 2021 season, having spent 2022 with the Houston Texans, and 2023 with the Chicago Bears.

Despite underwhelming production with the Bears last season, the Jaguars expect Green to return to his 2021-2022 form where he served as a key rotational player, contributing a modest 10 sacks and 90 total tackles across the 2 seasons. Worth noting, in 2021, Green made NFL history with the Seattle Seahawks, becoming the first player to block, recover, and score a defensive 2 point conversion during the Seahawks November match-up against the Washington Football Team.
