The NEO Rising Legends Showcase will be May 26 at John Carroll University, organized by Crawford's Local Legends Foundation and Next Gen Sports Media.

St. Edward's Shaun Crawford steps up on a table to lead the cheering for their 42-14 Division I state semifinal win vs. Hudson on Nov. 29, 2014, in Akron. Crawford is organizing the NEO Legends Rising Showcase, which will be May 26 at John Carroll University. The invitation-only event will include 7-on-7 and skills competitions for Northeast Ohio's top high school football players.

He is now adding to that with the NEO Rising Legends Showcase, a 7-on-7 and skills camp for high school football standouts that takes place Sunday, May 26 at John Carroll University. about creating their showcase. Crawford had participated in Opening events as a college prospect while at St. Edward, advancing to Nike’s national invite in Oregon, where he competed with the likes of Calvin Ridley and Minkah Fitzpatrick, who are now household names in the NFL.

“With Trey getting that rule changed, it just opened the doors for us to be able to get kids the exposure they need to get,” said Bloodworth, a former cornerback at St. Edward. “I was once in that position to try and get recruited and find more exposure. I didn’t have that opportunity because 7-on-7 wasn’t that big.”

“Me being able to stay connected with the guys through the podcast and being able to invite them out is something I’m excited about,” Crawford said. “All of those guys love doing stuff for the community and youth.” “He is one of the greatest competitors I have ever been around,” Pappas said. “He approached every practice, every game, with a level of intensity that was second to none. Whether it was a friendly scrimmage or a crucial championship match, Shaun never failed to elevate the competition to new heights.”
