Britain has handed control of the Chagos Islands to Mauritius
SIR Tony Blair’s former top aide who recently negotiated the controversial “surrender” of the Chagos Islands has been put in charge of Britain’s national security.
The post is one of the most senior positions in Government and provides the PM with updates and advice on global threats.most powerful adviser, he was at the heart of the 1998 Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to Northern Ireland.
