F1 star Logan Sargeant had to leap out of the burning car A Formula One car burst into flames following a huge crash in Dutch Grand Prix practice. American driver Logan Sargeant was forced to leap out of his burning car after suffering a scary crash at Circuit Zandvoort in Saturday’s practice run. In wet conditions, Sargeant – who races for Williams – clipped the grass at turn four and was sent flying into the barriers.

You need to jump out the car, jump out.’ Several safety marshals rushed onto the track to put the fire out before the car was removed and the track cleaned up. ‘He’s completely lost control, there’s a fire as well which will need to be taken care of pretty soon,’ F1 commentator David Croft said.
