Three men pleaded guilty to robbing a mail carrier in 2023. Jlynn Laneil Dunn, 21, Daylin Darden, 24, and D Colby Vashion Lewis, 23, admitted to robbing a letter carrier at gunpoint on Oct. 2, 2023. Surveillance video captured the robbery and the defendants running away. During a search of one of the defendants home law enforcement recovered guns, drugs, mail, checks and DVR system.
Surveillance video captured Darden leaving the home with a gun and returning to the home with a small item attached to a gold chain, matching the chain used to carry USPS arrow keys, according to the release. Investigators also found a direct message Dunn sent via Instagram that read, “I’m tryna go get us a key rn so I can get these real scam Money,” the release states.
