Investigators say the alleged thief stole more than $500,000 worth of merchandise from two jewelry stores at the Houston Premium Outlet Mall in October and April.
Rev. Jason Myers is not allowed to work as an Episcopal priest during the investigation, according to the Trinity Episcopal Church.FORT WORTH, Texas — A Fort Worth church has confirmed that one of its reverends has been arrested and charged for online solicitation of a minor.
According to the church, Associate Rector Rev. Jason Myers, 43, was arrested by officials with the Collin County Sheriff's Office on Thursday. Rev. Dr. Robert Pace said he alerted Bishop Andy Doyle about Myers' arrest. The bishop then suspended Myers' ministry under the church's"Title IV clergy disciplinary canons."
"This means that Jason is not permitted to function as an Episcopal priest in any way for the duration of the investigation and legal proceedings now underway," says Pace in the letter."It will not be possible for him to have contact with anyone in our congregation. Please know that he and his family will have pastoral support as the legal situation unfolds."
