“Basically along those lines, ‘This is going to be massive for us, we need to get out of this league, we want to get into the Football League.’With many fans intrigued as to what Reynolds and McElhenney are planning for the club, Foster says that from his early experiences, the two US-based owners are ‘genuinely interested’ in growing the club.
“He just sounds like the absolute dream, genuinely. He’s always over, always trying to watch the matches, he’s genuinely interested in it. “I think a lot of people, when he first took over, were quite sceptical and worried it was a bit of a plaything and media stunt. But he’s completely into it.”Foster also revealed that he had discussions about rejoining Tottenham on an emergency deal following the injury to Hugo Lloris, something that he’d have loved to do.Foster explained: “It’s a case of they had to find out if I’m interested first and foremost and straight away that was a yes.
“They then have to go to the Premier League and try and get special dispensation to see if they can sign another goalkeeper as an emergency signing.“The problem was that Fraser Forster was fully fit, while second choice goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman is 23 years old so he doesn’t really count as a youth team goalie or reserve team goalie.
