Markt responds to high grade
Founders Metals has been one of the most exciting gold exploration stories over the past 12 months, using a string of high-grade drill results from its Antio project in Suriname. With the gold price up about US$800/oz during that time, the company's share price is up 64% this year.
Founders bought the option to obtain 75% of Antino from Orea in March 2023 for C$500,000 and the same again in stock. Initial metallurgical testwork shows 91-96% gold recovery from cyanidation, with more testwork results coming in due course. "It is a gold-only system with nothing deleterious," said Padget. With the project on its way to 60,000m drilled, Padget is not yet considering putting out a maiden resource.
