Four of those directors were approaching the end of their three-year-terms and the board requested that the council formally approve their re-appointment. They are Robert King, Liz McCutcheon, Martin McGuire and Kenny Nicholson.

Robert King is a consultant with law firm Clyde and Co, who also chairs the board of directors at Routes to Work and has extensive experience in employment law and issues relating to human resources.
Martin McGuire, formerly Scotland director for WorldSkills UK, has widespread experience in senior management in tertiary education, having previously been principal at Cumbernauld College, New College Lanarkshire and Adam Smith College in Fife. At Routes to work he is the vice chairperson of the board of directors and also has a place on its HR sub-committee.
