Discarded waste was found in bushes, a pub, and a social club

Four people in Northampton have been fined a total of £5,681 after they were found to have dumped their rubbish on the street. Bags of discarded waste was found in bushes, a pub, and a social club.

The first incident took place on Tuesday, August 16 this year, when WNC's Neighbourhood Wardens found a pile of binbags outside a property in St Paul’s Road in Semilong, Northampton, two days before the area's bin day. Putting bins and waste out before collection days is counted as fly tipping.Investigators found the waste belonged to 25-year-old Sher Ali of St Paul’s Road and he was issued with a £150 Fixed Penalty Notice . But Ali failed to pay the fine.

Properties in that area have wheelie bins and refuse sacks are not collected by collection crews. Laskova was also issued with a £150 FPN which she failed to pay. The fourth case happened in January 2020 but due to Covid was not heard in court until November 15. 25-year-old Daniel Moisa, then of Marshleys Court, Overstone Lodge was fined £660 and ordered to pay cost of £1,575 and £66 victim surcharge.
