Urgent appeal after four hurt in 'random' knife attacks in Manchester - police want to find this man
Four people have been injured in 'random' knife attacks within a week in one area of north Manchester, police have said. Detectives have now released images of a man they would like to speak to as part of their enquiries.
The victims of all four incidents received non-life-threatening injuries but are being supported by specialist officers as investigations continue, Greater Manchester Police said.A force chief today said they were taking the incidents "very seriously" and were "conducting all lines of enquiry" as he said patrols had now been stepped up in the area. GMP urged residents in the area to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police.
Detective Inspector Michael Russell, of the City of Manchester North District, said: “We believe these assaults are random attacks and will obviously cause some serious concern to the local community. “We have increased patrols in the local area and will continue to do so, but if you have any concerns at all, please do talk to our local officers for reassurance and guidance as we are continuing to exhaust all available lines of enquiry to ensure we can continue to keep our communities safe.”
