Four men arrested on suspicion of murder after pensioner is killed in street brawl outside pub
A TOTAL of four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a man who intervened in an argument, Lancashire Constabulary said.
Barry Tyrie, 69, died after a fight outside Regent Street Working Men's Club in Haslingden on Saturday evening.Credit: Google MapsPolice believe Mr Tyrie, from Haslingden, may have intervened in an argument between a man and a woman earlier in the evening.Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Wills said: "We need to build a picture of what has happened through yesterday evening which has led up to Barry's tragic death.
Police have appealed for anybody who witnessed the incident, or saw Mr Tyrie earlier in the evening, to come forward.
