Police said a 'number of incidents' happened on Friday, September, 8, last year

Four men have been charged with a total of 40 offences after a number of alleged incidents in Leicester. Leicestershire Police said each man had been charged with one count of burglary, two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of attempted burglary and four counts of fraud.

The force said a “number of incidents” had happened in the early hours of Friday, September 8, last year, in Essex Road, off Gipsy Lane, Hallaton Road, in Humberstone, and Beaconsfield Road, in Westcotes. The charges of fraud relate to a bank card that was stolen in an alleged burglary and used in four separate transactions on the same day, the force added.

The four men are: Oliver Smith, 22, of London Road, Leicester; Cassidy Smith, 20, of Tovey Crescent, Eyres Monsell, Leicester; Jordan Kent, 21, of Elizabeth Court, Wigston; and Azaine Jenkins, 18, of Denton Avenue, Sandiacre, on the Derbyshire / Nottingham border.They are all set to appear at Leicester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow .
