The four missing military men missing after their helicopter crashed on Friday have been identified as Troop Commander Captain Daniel Lyon, Lieutenant Maxwell Nugent, Warrant officer class 2 Joseph Laycock and Corporal Alexander Naggs.
Dozens of pieces of debris have been recovered.
“The work that your army, your navy does, is inherently risky, and we work hard to ensure that we’ve mitigated the risk,” he said speaking from Holsworthy Army Base where the 6th division is based.The MRH-90 Taipan helicopter went down near Lindeman Island, at about 11 pm Friday. Over the weekend, a range of debris from the crash was recovered, including some doors, but the airframe has yet to be recovered.
