FOUR people have been sprayed by a substance sparking a major emergency service response - with a man arrested. The alert was raised around 7.
30pm yesterday following the incident in the Sutton Park area of Sutton Coldfield, near Birmingham.vehicles responded to the incident, including marked unmarked vehicles and armed officers.
The four people who were sprayed and treated by medics were said to have ‘relatively minor symptoms’. Two were taken to hospital.A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We've arrested a man on Wednesday evening after being called to reports that three people had been sprayed with a substance in the Sutton Park area of Sutton Coldfield.
“Officers attended at around 7.30pm along with colleagues from the fire and ambulance services. Following extensive searches, a man in his 30s was detained by officers. “Four people who suffered from the effects of the spray were treated by ambulance crews for relatively minor symptoms and two were taken to hospital for further checks as a precaution.
