Vickie Leslie, Ross Dunlop, Michael Almond, and Michael Ferguson joined 700 crews members who represented 50 different nationalities in the extraordinary challenge which started last September.
Four Scots are celebrating after completing an epic 11-month long global sailing race, as part of a world renowned boat race.
Shetlander Vickie completed all of the 14-stage global race route on board the overall winning team yacht called Ha Long Bay, Viet Nam and has now joined an elite group of people who have circumnavigated the globe. “My favourite stopover, other than Oban, was Fremantle in Australia. I had lots of family come to that stopover but also it was the first time we won an individual race and thought we can do this. We kept on going from there!”
