Four children killed in blaze after 60 firefighters tackle house fire
A neighbour said: ‘’Everyone has been really sympathetic. We used to see the mum who is in her twenties in the morning.‘’The kids looked really happy. The boys looked really sweet and nothing seemed out of order.‘’Everyone in this road knew them and the boys were really cute.’’
"We rapidly entered the building with breathing apparatus crews and rescued four children from the building."The children were taken to a local hospital. And, sadly, those four children died later that evening. "This is a very tight knit community, which is shocked and in mourning, as you've got a school and Sutton United Football Club which will probably hold a minute's silence on Saturday."
A Scotland Yard spokesperson said: "Four young children have died following reports of a house fire in Sutton."Police were called by the London Fire Brigade shortly after 19:00hrs on Thursday, 16 December to reports of a fire at a residential address on Collingwood Road in Sutton."The fire was extinguished and four children - two 3-year-old boys and two 4-year-old boys - were recovered from the address. The boys are all related.
